Until today, there have been serious problems created by flooding. The prioritization of solutions was based primarily on the size of the problems that appear. Z&A through this study, developed flood management models which will provide a convenient tool for prioritization in particular as regards access to funding from E.U. resources. The project included the following: (a) selection of important streams to be included in the management plan, (b) appropriate mapping of relevant catchments, (c) description of the necessary studies for each stream (flood plain, hydraulic studies, etc). Registration of flood protection works or\/and settlement in obstructing of streams and (d) proposals on necessary land use changes to achieve the flood protection goals. The projects that were supervised by Z&A were the following:1. \u201cStabilization of natural slopes and arrangement of river bed of Pamisos stream in Mouzaki Municipality, Karditsa Perfecture\u201d, 2. \u201cArrangement works on Saint George stream of Dramiziotis river in Trikala Prefecture\u201d 3. \u201cRecreation and environmental protection of Dipotamia river in Kastoria Prefecture\u201d 4. \u201cArrangement works on Baggo stream of Anthiriotis river in Karditsa Prefecture\u201d 5. \u201cFlood protection works on river Asopos in East Attica Prefecture\u201d.
