Also the future demand was assessed based on proposed projects and future development. Part C: &#8220;Environmental Issues&#8221; where the environmental impacts of the Acheloos diversion were analysed and Part D: &#8220;Management Model&#8221;, where a water management model was configured and calibrated and used to assess the water resource system under different scenarios of water use. The project aims at integrated water resources management of the area of interest and the development of the appropriate management tools. It was elaborated in order to assist the Ministry of Public Works in the implementation of the Water Framework Directive (2000\/60). The project includes the following 1) Collection of all the relevant information, 2) Development of an integrated database and presentation of all the relevant data on maps (GIS), 3) Recording of all activities related to water use, 4) Water Demand assessments, 5) Use of simulation software, 6) Analysis of developing projects in the greater area  7) Development of a management model, 8) Gathering of economic information, 9) Development and evaluation of an Economic Model.<br \/>\nThe project aims at integrated water resources management of the area of interest and the development of the appropriate management tools in order to assist the Ministry of Public Works in the implementation of the Water Framework Directive (2000\/60).
