Consulting services for feasibility study, detailed design and tender document preparation for sio-sango irrigation development and watershed management project

The Project is one of the three trans-boundary(Kenya and Uganda) river basin management projects implemented under the framework of the Nile Equatorial Lakes Subsidiary Action Program (NELSAP) and managed by the Nile Basin Initiative (NBI).The objective of the Project is to establish a sustainable framework for the joint management of the water resources of the Sio-Malaba-Malakisi river basin, and to prepare for sustainable development-oriented investments.The objective of the assignment is to carry out feasibility studies, detailed designs and tender documentation for the following infrastructure:a) Sio-Sango dam (with connected small hydropower facilities): a rockfill with clay core dam of 20.00 m height and Reservoir Capacity of 5,700,000 m³ and b)Sio-Sango irrigation project and water supply facilities, including all the necessary specialised activities and studies required for the identification of the optimal scenario for the implementation of the planned infrastructure.
