The total population of the area is approximately 42,000, The Minimum length of network to be constructed is 220 km and the total area within which the sewage network will be constructed is approximately estimated to be 33 km2 .
The scope of work is :
-The Preparation of an optioneering study, carry out a Master Plan for the selected scenario, and carry out a feasibility study and environmental impact assessment study for this scenario.
-Detail Design of the sewage network and preparation of the tender documents

The Chrysochous town is located 25km north of Paphos, on the northwestern coast of Cyprus. It is a tourist area, which, apart from the main urban fabric that has developed on a hill, the town extends along the coastal front in the east to Latsi beach, up to the new village in the west. The scope of the Contract includes the preparation of the required design studies for the sewage and rainwater collection network in the area of the Municipality of Chrysochous, the assessment of the environmental impacts for the disposal of recycled water, the preparation of Tender Documents for the construction Contracts, the preparation of Tender Documents for the Design, Construc-tion, Operation and Maintenance of the Treatment Plant and the Supervision of all the above construction works, until the end of the liability period for defects. The estimated population (2065) will be 55,667.
The characteristic of the network designed are the following:
Sewerage network: 53.11 Km, PVC DN200 – DN500, HDPE DN63 to DN450, 14 Pumping Station (Average annual benefit 14.886 m3/d)
Stormwater Network: 22.1 Km, DN250 – DN1500, Maximum Culvert Dimension: 2.15 X 1.25

 The prolonged drought observed in Cyprus in the last twenty years has resulting in insufficient water storage in the dams that have been constructed. For this reason the Department of Water Development promoted the construction of Units Seawater Desalination in order to make the supply independent of rainfall of drinking water in large urban and tourist centers. The Decelia Desalination Plant was the first plant to be built and operated in 1997, with an initial production capacity of 40,000 m³ of water per day. Its current total capacity is 60,000 m³ of water the day. To deal with the insufficient storage capacity, new reservoirs on the hill of Kokkinokremmos will be constructed with a total capacity of 35,000m³.The water supplied areas are supplied through the central pipeline Choirokotias – Fama-gusta. The pipeline along its longest length is constructed from asbestos cement pipes with diameters of 600 and 650mm while at the height of the Achnas dam there is a small section of the pipeline made of ductile iron pipes di-ameter 700mm. In order to address the operational problems of the pipeline mainly due to its old age, a new water transport pipeline is proposed (TOTAL LENGTH 24.600 m, D.I., DN 900 – 1100) and a pumping station (Q=3394m3/h – Hman=155m), which will connect the Dekelia Desalination Unit with the Tanks at Kokkinokremos.

The main objective of the Sewerage Board of Limassol – Amathus (SBLA) is the construction, operation and maintenance of the public sewerage and stormwater drainage system of the Greater Limassol Area and therefore to improve the hygienic and environmental conditions and the quality of life in the area.
The scope of the service includes the follwing actions:

Review, validate and update the existing studies for the proposed stormwater drainage network including the bill of quantities
Check the proposed design of stormwater drainage system to identify and resolve any utility conflicts es-pecially the conflicts concerning the house connections of the sewerage system.
Prepare and submit the Traffic Management Plan that includes details of where and when works will be undertaken (Critical Path Analysis).
Prepare Health and Safety Policy (Framework Directive) in accordance with the relevant Laws and Regu-lations of the Republic of Cyprus and SBLA Health and Safety Policy
Assess the existing data regarding the Road Condition and conduct additional geological surveys, if need-ed.
Evaluate the Hydraulic Capacity Analysis of the existing Stormwater Drainage System including the pro-posed system, by developing a model for various Return Periods.
Prepare the Bidding Documents for the procurement of works
Provide specifications and supplementary information on the works to be procured.
Evaluate the bids submitted by the contractor and submit Tender Evaluation Report.
