Final design of flood protection works of the new railway line from giannoula stream to thriassio pedio area (4.5 km), south attiki perfecture

This study concerned the detail design for flooding protection of the new railway from the “Mauri Hora” tunnel exit to Giannoula stream and the entrance at Thriassio Pedio Station (4.5 km long). Additionally to the above, ten new culverts were studied in order to protect the railway line from flooding from the upstream catchment areas. The following culverts were studied: Box-shaped Drain 5,00 x 4,00 m STA. 22+403,41, Circular Drain D = 1,20 m STA. 22+554,97, Circular Drain D = 1,20 m STA. 22+743,43, Circular Drain D = 1,20 m STA. 22+808,38, Circular Drain D = 1,20 m STA. 22+941,85, Box-shaped Drain 3,00 x 3,00 m STA. 23+083,84, Circular Drain D = 1,20 m STA. 23+220,14, Box-shaped Drain 3,00 x 2,00 m STA. 24+366,09, Box-shaped Drain 3,00 x 3,00 m STA. 24+507,57, Circular Drain D = 1,20 m STA. 24+749,19. The above ten culverts have been already constructed.
