The global objective of the project is to demonstrate and disseminate a European knowledge management framework, for a procedure (HYDROPLAN) on sustainable asset management with integrated links to best available technologies. The target is to provide a comprehensive framework tool to share knowledge and collaborate in the development of best management practices and technologies. These practices will then be taken into consideration for pragmatic, cost effective and objective master planning decisions in the European sewerage sector.In Greece the life cases were in Athens (EYDAP) and Thessalonica (EYATH) where the HYDROPLAN methodology was implemented. The objective is to develop an advanced management tool, which will be used in order to take cost effective and pragmatic decisions for the network of the pilot area. With the use of the management tool the Sewer Authorities are planning to improve the functionality of the network and program future investments with the best cost effective way.
