Support actions for efficient custom implementation of directive 2000/60/ec in greece’s physical and modified water bodies (rivers, lakes & coastal)

The main objective of the service was to support the Special Water Secretary (SWS) of the Ministry for the Environment in the implementation of the Water Directive 60/2000 (WFD). The institutional strengthening of the Department was one of the main objectives since it was newly established with staff coming from departments not entirely relevant with that scope.The project was implemented for the whole of the Greek territory.
