Iasmos Dam was designed as a large concrete face rock fill irrigation dam 91m high. After construction, the dam would irrigate over 30.000 hectares of downstream valleys in Rhodopi prefecture. The study included the design of all the required appurtenant structures such as a diversion tunnel and a spillway. The service covered the fields of: – Water Resources Management Study along with Hydrological Assessment Study for the Iasmos river catchment basin. – Feasibility Study Analysis (dam type, location, purpose, storage capacity, geological survey, apparent structures, etc). – Detailed hydrological, hydrogeological, geological and geotechnical investigations and analysis. – Detailed dam design, dam safety analysis, monitoring plan, tender documents, bill of quantities, cost estimates. – Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) Study. – Detailed Socio-Economic Study, including investment plan, financing options, funding proposals, etc.
